Grateful for the sunshine after so much rain this week! West of Skopje is a city called Tetovo, and above in the mountains lies a trail with 8 waterfalls! It took us a while to find the right trail but we eventually got there—nothing is well-marked (everything is a little sketch in this country) but it was fun. The kids are always so much happier when they get out to explore! Highly recommend nature 10/10 🌲⛰️ The Skopje Zoo in the winter time is an odd place 😂 Flamingos in baths, so many animals indoors looking awkward. But it’s actually a very impressive zoo with a good variety of animals. I just wish I didn’t always get depressed by zoos… maybe if they charged more than $1.25 for a ticket they could raise more money for improvements? We’ll be coming back in the warmer months for another look and a service project or two. I really need to find a store here that sells exercise equipment… Sacramento - DC with 4 kiddos, 13 suitcases, 6 carry-one, 5 back packs, a bag full of snacks. We had a seamless flight, @united took great care of us and made our check-in super smooth. We had tons of space on this flight with only maybe 1/3 of the seats filled—which means I got to nap through almost the entire thing. Our first TOP GOLF experience—The kids loved it, I was impressed at how well everyone did—even the little guys scored well and we had a great time!
